  In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus tells the Church exactly what its purpose is. It is to: 

     * Preach Christ

     * Teach everyone to observe His teachings

     * And make disciples of those who believe

  Its our mission with the power of the Holy Spirit to minister to lives that have been hurt in the church and in the world, that they may experience the love and forgiveness of Christ,

 that He may restore them for His service.
